Dr Ramesh Unnikrishnan started his career as a Lecturer at Govt Engineering College Adoor in the year 1998 and later on with Govt Engineering College Munnar till 2012. He Joined All India Council for Technical Education, the Regulatory Body for Higher & Technical Education, Govt. of India as Director in the year 2012 and was officiating the post of Western Regional Officer since 2013 controlling the states of Maharashtra, Goa Dadra NagarHaveli, Daman and Diu. During 2014 he was entrusted with the additional charge of South Western Region and South Central Region which controls the Technical institutions within Andhra Pradesh, Telengana,  Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshwadeep. Presently he is the Director of Approval Bureau at AICTE Hqrs New Delhi.  He holds his Bachelors In Mechanical Engineering ,  Masters in Engineering Management,  PhD in Management,   PhD in Education, a Diploma in Education Management from the Executive Global System, Harvard University and has about 35  publications in his credit. He has been awarded Doctor of Letters by Lincoln University Malaysia  based upon the contributions made in the field of Education . He  has authored two books with reputed global publishers ,has contributed chapters to 7 books related to Education and also serves as an Editorial Board Member of Science India, the National Science Magazine.He is a member in the board of Research Institute for Japan, UK & Europe (RIJUE), Hiroshima, Japan &  Contemperory Management Research University of Tapei, Taiwan.He was instrumental in coordinating the  the Swacchta Awards and Clean Campus initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development,Govt of India  and was also the center head for the prestigious Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme -2017 at Srinagar. Dr Ramesh Unnikrishnan had been nominated by AICTE as the National Advisor for the flagship scheme of Govt of India, Sansaad Adarsh Grama Yojana. He has been awarded with the Visionary Leader 2017 by the Global Education Summit organised by CEGR New Delhi,  the Young Education Administrator 2018 Award by the Research and Innovation Summit at India International Center, New Delhi,  the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Life time Achievement National Award 2019 by IISER for the contributions made in the field of Education and also the Harvard University Global Systems Award (HUGS Award ) in the year 2019.
